Community welfare

Traditional dressing during African Heritage Day in London, November 2016

IWA had a difficult past which resulted in members losing confidence and trust in, and disengaging from the Charity. Further, IWA’s past undermined community cohesion.

To restore the confidence and trust of the members and our primary beneficiary community and re-unite the community of Iteso, IWA organizes meetings and prayer events; supports people undergoing bereavement; organize games and sports events to promote health and wellbeing.

We coordinate with other diaspora communities to promote intercommunity relations; support new initiatives aimed promoting community life, and recruit new members.
