Rights, Obligations, Responsibilities and Benefits of Members

To support IWA to achieve her objectives, members will have rights, obligations and responsibilities, and to appreciate the contribution of members and motivate them, IWA will provide members with some benefits, depending on the category of membership. The following are the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and benefits of the members of IWA.

Junior Member

  1. Has a right and responsibility to attend general meetings of IWA.
  2. Has a right to receive a membership card.
  3. Benefits from free entry to all chargeable events of IWA.
  4. Has a right to be elected to a position of youth leader, if they are subscriber members.
  5. Has an obligation to pay subscription promptly.

Ordinary Member

  1. Has a right and responsibility to attend general meetings.
  2. Has a right to receive a membership card.
  3. Has a right to vote and be voted to any position in the IWA, if they are a subscriber member.
  4. Has a right to receive communications updating members about the affairs of IWA and responsibility to utilise the information to further the objectives of IWA.
  5. Has a right to initiate a petition in accordance with the constitution of IWA, if they are a subscriber member.
  6. Has an obligation to pay subscription promptly.
  7. Has an obligation to work for the success of IWA including but not limited to promoting IWA, attracting opportunities to IWA and engaging in activities that will support IWA to achieve its objectives.

Bronze Member

  1. Has a right and responsibility to attend general meetings.
  2. Has a right to receive a membership card.
  3. Has a right to receive communications updating members of the affairs of IWA and responsibility to utilise the information to further the objectives of IWA.
  4. Has a right to vote and be voted to any position in the IWA, if they are subscriber members.
  5. Has a right to initiate a petition in accordance with the constitution of IWA, if they are a subscriber member.
  6. Benefits from 10% discount on all chargeable IWA events e.g. parties during the year of membership.
  7. Has an obligation to pay subscription promptly.
  8. Has an obligation to work for the success of IWA including but not limited to promoting IWA, attracting opportunities to IWA and engaging in activities that will support IWA to achieve its objectives.

Silver Member

  1. Has a right and responsibility to attend meetings.
  2. Has a right to receive a membership card.
  3. Has a right to receive communications updating members about the affairs of IWA and responsibility to utilise the information to further the objectives of IWA.
  4. Has a right to vote and be voted to any position in the IWA, if they are a subscriber member.
  5. Has a right to initiate a petition in accordance with the constitution of IWA, if they are a subscriber member.
  6. Benefits from 50% discount on all chargeable IWA events e.g. parties during the year of membership.
  7. Has an obligation to pay subscription promptly.
  8. Has an obligation to work for the success of IWA including but not limited to promoting IWA, attracting opportunities to IWA and engaging in activities that will support IWA to achieve its objectives.

Gold Member

  1. Has a right and responsibility to attend general meetings.
  2. Has a right to receive a membership card.
  3. Has a right to receive communications updating members about the affairs of IWA and responsibility to utilise the information to further the objectives of IWA.
  4. Has a right to vote and be voted to any position in the IWA, if they are a subscriber member.
  5. Has a right to initiate a petition in accordance with the constitution of IWA, if they are a subscriber member.
  6. Benefits from free attendance on all chargeable IWA events e.g. parties during the year of membership.
  7. Has an obligation to pay subscription promptly.
  8. Has an obligation to work for the success of IWA including but not limited to promoting IWA, attracting opportunities to IWA and engaging in activities that will support IWA to achieve its objectives.

Platinum Member

  1. Has a right and responsibility to attend general meetings.
  2. Has a right to receive a membership card.
  3. Has a right to receive communications updating members about the affairs of IWA and responsibility to utilise the information to further the objectives of IWA.
  4. Has a right to vote and be voted to any position in the IWA, if they are a subscriber member.
  5. Has a right to initiate a petition in accordance with the constitution of IWA, if they are a subscriber member.
  6. Benefits from free attendance on all chargeable IWA events e.g. parties during the year of membership.
  7. Benefits from free attendance of dependent family members on all chargeable IWA events e.g. parties during the year of membership. This excludes events organised exclusively to raise funds.
  8. Benefits from advertisement on the IWA website and to promote their products at IWA events in the year of membership. Some benefits may be subject to the approval IWA Board of Trustees.
  9. Has an obligation to pay subscription promptly.
  10. Has an obligation to work for the success of IWA including but not limited to promoting IWA, attracting opportunities to IWA and engaging in activities that will support IWA to achieve its objectives.

Corporate Member

  1. Has a right and responsibility to attend meetings.
  2. Has a right to receive a membership card.
  3. Has a right to receive communications updating members of the affairs of IWA and responsibility to utilise the information to further the objectives of IWA.
  4. Has a right to vote and be voted to any position in the IWA, if they are a subscriber member.
